A little Ash Wednesday anecdote
It’s Ash Wednesday and excited to receive my ashes, I headed to church with my usual crew (my best friend and her mom).
We arrived slightly late (as usual) and took our seats in the last pew (as usual).
The service was amazing. It was in a small room and it had song, prayer, and confession. The message was of giving all our sin to Christ, and how He wants to help us- we don’t need...

To everyone who’s evangelizing Tumblr for Lent: How about posting a picture of your Ash Wednesday forehead? Tag it #smudgespam and then we can have the “Smudge Awards” later. :-)

Lent: What a romantic is giving up
Lent is going to take a really serious commitment from me this year. Usually I’m one of those people who just gives up something “easy,” like chocolate or food. Anonymous asked: Your blog is kinda sugar-coated. Have you ever considered coming off that high pedestal to talk real with people? Not everyone can just go through everyday full of joy and praise God for their lives. From a non-christian P.O.V. Happy one year anniversary
To us.
a year ago today you told me you loved me.
It’s silly and terrifying that a dream about a play, a simple dance move, a box of hair dye, a pool, a flower, a cat, another girl, and a wedding can scare me so much, and yet motivate me to be a warrior and fight for what I know is right.
It’s time to be a prayer warrior.

You make me so upset when you cancel your plans with me all the time.
We were supposed to pray tonight, but you instead decided to Skype. With someone else.
It makes me question your commitment to this, which, in turn, makes me really nervous about us being ready to discern.
